rhone20A deep bow to the Red Roof Inn in Herkimer, PA, where we stayed on August 12th. The next day when we stopped for lunch, I realized that I’d left my purse in the room. Panic! A frantic call to the desk put me in the capable hands of the registrar, who suggested she could send it by overnight postal service to our next destination, a B&B in Maine. It would arrive on Monday, after the weekend. Was that the best option? Or should we drive three hours to retrieve it? ||After some discussion, it was decided to use the US Postal Service. ||And on Monday, the purse, carefully packed in a box, was returned to me in Maine. Vacation saved.||Kudos to the desk staff at the motel.
