AprilThis candy store is magical for children and ADULTS. The first time going in i had the pleasure of dealing with the owner himself. He was a very friendly respectful guy.The following day i seen him hanging his 30 year sign up, bright and early in the morning, as i was driving through for my morning coffee before daylight was even finished breaking. And i realized that it was just the magic in the making. This store is beautiful. I stopped in daily while i was in town, and bought a couple wood carvings to look at when im missing old forge. I would give this store 100 stars if i could. This was my favorite.

Sybil MGreat little shop! A variety of candies and treats, including fresh candied nuts and caramel popcorn. It smells delicious as soon as you walk in. All of the employees were so welcoming and friendly, and the prices seemed reasonable. My littles enjoyed the quarter operated pony out front.

Unfathomable DreamsAfter my grandfather who used to live in Old Forge passed, we have made it a family tradition to go to Old Forge every year. Every year since I can remember, we've stopped in to this shop. The owners are kind and, although the shop appears small on the outside, there is something for absolutely everyone. Even those who hate sweets! There's popcorn and nuts and beverages to choose from as well. Their candies are obviously the main show though and are top notch and I would highly recommend their store to anyone, even if you're just passing through!

Jennifer ReynoldsThe Candy Cottage is like taking a step back into my childhood. They have novelty candies that I haven't seen since I was little. What really makes a stop into this quaint little store necessary is their home made fudge. I lived in Michigan for some time and the U.P. Traverse City has some amazing fudge. THIS is even better! Smooth and creamy with an incredible variety of flavors, there is something for everyone. They also make caramel in store. Top hats are their own design of a marshmallow enrobed with fresh caramel drizzled with white chocolate. So good! Oh and ask for a sample for their caramel corn... I bet you'll buy a whole box for the drive home! The best part for me was the service. Everyone was smiling and friendly even though the line went out the door and down the sidewalk. Even the owner Larry and his sweet, kind, mom were smiling and took time out to talk with customers. This place is amazing and a true asset to the Old Forge business district. Love you guys and cant wait to get back up and see what you have created!
