Dylan AveryBob and Helen and The Strand are absolute gems. I had the privilege of meeting them and filming inside the theater while I was documenting the gorgeous new mural on the side of the building. The two of them have put so much work into fixing up a historic building and keeping that movie magic alive, and you can hear the pride in their voices when they talk about the place. The hallway of cameras is a sight to behold. If you go to Old Forge and you don't take a trip inside The Strand, you didn't go to Old Forge.

DakotaIf you’re looking for an amazing experience for watching a movie, The Strand is where you should go. It’s truly such a beautiful experience for history. Even though small and even though maybe not peak quality in what you’re listening to or watching, but it’s worth it in how they bring that old school authentic movie theater experience. Also they have pints of ice cream and tea? Truly beautiful. I saw Final Destination here. From what I have heard, most horror movies get put into the smaller theatre, but as mentioned, worth it. The staff was sweet and there is even a photo booth within the theatre that you can get a picture in. Do this! Go Here!

H SoodThis is probably one of the best places in Adirondack and one of the best movie theaters. Depending on which movie you are watching, you could be in a small screen theatre. This place gives you a great vibe and takes you back in time with all the vintage cameras that one gets to see. A must visit place in Old Forge, Adirondack

Edward MillsWhat an incredible 101-year-old movie theatre, and it was an experience I won’t forget! Not only is it a beautifully preserved piece of history, but it also doubles as a mini museum, showcasing artifacts and memorabilia from a century of film. The ambiance is rich with nostalgia, and you can almost feel the stories of the past surrounding you. The service was excellent – the staff was friendly and clearly passionate about the theatre's legacy. Plus, the ticket prices were very affordable, making it an amazing value for such a unique experience. Whether you're a film buff or just looking for a memorable outing, this theatre is a must-visit!"
