Nicole McKonaOur stay was nothing short of exceptional! The property combined with the service Mike provides is above 5 star. I have never before had a stay call me the morning of to ensure my check in was smooth, my breakfast order was selected, and my pup had everything he needed. The room was spotless, the bed you could melt into, and the linens were top quality. The jetted tub was clean and an extra special touch at the end of a long day of travel. Mike made a delicious breakfast and his dog Brick brought all the smiles and puppy kisses. Can’t recommend this stay enough, especially for pet friendly travel!! Thank you Mike, we will definitely be back!

Lorien VidalThis was my second stay at this lovely historic colonial home. The entire process of booking & check-in is so friendly and Mike couldn't be a better host. My GF breakfast preferences were generously accommodated on both of my stays. I might need to come up more often, so this place will be my go-to for a room.

Ellen PonderMy mom and I stayed at the Grand Colonial last November and we absolutely loved it! I'm from Georgia so I was a little in shock from the cold weather but the Grand Colonial was so cozy and warm. We stayed in the Empire Room. The bed was nice and soft and it was wonderful to melt into at the end of the night. I use to stay at my grandfather's and my aunt's when I would visit Herkimer and Ilion as a child and I felt that same cozy, safe, and inviting feeling while I was at the Grand Colonial. Also the breakfast is incredible, and to this day we still talk about how good Mike's breakfast was. I don't think I'll ever find a breakfast that delicious again unless I stay at the Grand Colonial. If you're a local, do a staycation and enjoy the breakfast, seriously! Mike is a great host! Super friendly and had some insightful tips since we hadn't been back in the area in some time. Would 100% come back and stay at the Grand Colonial again! 11/10

WaverleyThis bed and breakfast was such a wonderful experience! The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was a coffee/tea/hot chocolate cart in the hallway. The house itself was brilliantly decorated and had elements of old charm. The breakfast was delightful with huge portions and many food choices. We spent a day at the Herkimer Diamond Mine and this bed and breakfast was the perfect way to relax and wind down after a busy day. I recommend Mike's Grand Colonial Bed and Breakfast to anyone looking for a safe, clean, comfortable, unique place to stay.
