Oak Hill MillworksI landed at the Herkimer Red Roof Inn when I wasn’t expecting to. My car broke down on 90 and the towing company brought me here to get a room for the night. I was greeted by all of the ladies at the front desk and they made me feel welcome in my time of need. Thank you to Laura, Theresa, Stephany, and Rachel. I was able to get a nice breakfast and everything was so clean and organized with clear instructions for breakfast thanks to Rachel. Gladys kept my room for me and when I had a special need, she assured me it wasn’t a problem. Finally, when it was time to check out and I was still stranded with my car in a repair shop, the manager, Paul, greeted me and made me feel welcome in the office area while I waited. Just really nice to have a budget friendly option that was clean, met my needs, and exceeded my expectations when it came to hospitality. Great job and thank you for everything. - Christy M. 108

Jo NavratilI was a bit hesitant to stay here due to other Red Roof Inn reviews and the fact the doors open to the outside. Upon arriving, we noticed the outside was clean and well kept. When I went to check in the front desk attendants were kind, polite, and helpful. There were games for families to play in the lobby. We also travel with our dogs, and appreciated the fact they were allowed to stay there without having to pay an outrageous fee. The rooms were clean and had been updated. The breakfast was cold food, but the presentation was fantastic. The lobby served as a seating area and there was seating in the breakfast area. There was an attendant there to ensure the food was stocked and the counters were wiped clean. I am very particular about hotels we stay at, and I would stay at this one again! Thank you!

Sparrow MathesonI showed up early, and the front desk and housekeeping were very accommodating. I was able to check in early, and the woman i spoke with was so personable. She went out of her way to help me, and we joked around while she was working it out. The room was small, but nicely decorated. All together, it was a great experience!

Julie GutowskiWe had a great stay at this Red Roof Inn. I gave the room 4 stars, as the a/c was either very cold or off, and the beds maybe could have been more comfortable (we survived). Everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. In the morning, there were staff members everywhere - cleaning rooms, sweeping sidewalks and restocking the clean & nice breakfast area. The breakfast was modest (no hot items except oatmeal or toast) but covered all the bases and was of very good quality. We would definitely stay here again - great value for the price!

Mark LaurihaI am traveling through Herkimer as part of my empire State Trail cycling adventure.We were very pleasantly surprised. This hotel was much nicer than many three stars that we have stayed at. Room updated and very clean- Tasha was our housekeeping person. Nice lighting as many places, we stay at have a lack of lighting and sterile light color. You could tell the owners cared much attention to detail. Staff very nice. Rachael in the food service area kept this exceptionally clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay
