Casey FiliaciThis was really great. My wife and I had Diamond Class lower seats and the service was friendly and fantastic, the trip through the woods and fields and lakes was wonderful. The seats were like living room chairs. I will definitely do this again.

John GirouxMy girlfriend and I did the Utica-Tupper Lake-Utica trip in the Diamond Class lower compartment. HUGE comfortable chairs and lots of room - only 12 seats in this compartment. Although the Diamond Class upper compartment has the windows all the way around, it's much more cramped; If/when we do this again, I'll buy the same seats. If one can get 11 people to all go with them, booking the entire compartment would be awesome - so much room! Besides that, you can roam around the train, and during warmer weather you can go to one of the doors that are open on top, or to the open air car that has lots of space to stretch and catch the scenery and wind as you wind through nature. Both my girlfriend and I totally enjoyed the day, not only taking in the views, but also chatting with other passengers and crew. I definitely recommend!

Riding in style!I discovered this Railroad tour back in February this year. Now completed my 4th tour. Absolutely LOVE this train ride and I cannot encourage the Diamond car (upper or lower) enough for a true special experience! The staff are fantastic!

Roxanne NazelA group of us took the trip from Utica to Thendara/ Old Forge. We rode in the diamond class which is upstairs/ upper deck on the train (maybe 8 small stairs). There are possibly 8 tables/ booths, covered with linen table cloths, cloth napkins and a flower arrangement. We received choice of one free beverage and snack (ex. muffing in the morning, charcuterie on return trip). Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase (about the same pricing as a bar room. The staff are awesome, very friendly, polite , helpful and informative. The ride to Thendara is nice with scenic landscaping, water falls, creeks, sitting areas along the waterways, residents waving to people on the train as they pass. It's very nice and relaxing, giving passengers time to actually sit and talk with each other without everyday distractions. At Thendara station, there is an old Hotel, fully functional. School buses pick up passengers and transport them to Old Forge. The drivers are volunteers and do appreciate tips for their time. Buses pick up the passengers again in the late afternoon for transport back to Thendara for the return to the Utica train station. All in all, I give this a 10/10 and will definitely take another train ride. Thank you to all of the staff who helped make this an enjoyable adventure. I appreciate you.

Peter FrankWe had a great ride from Utica to Tupper Lake. Everything was on time, service was good. Only disappointment was the lack of souvenirs to buy. Would have liked to buy a tee shirt or sweatshirt but nothing available.
