So my husband and I did a spontaneous weekend and somehow landed at this beautiful hotel. When we entered the front lobby, there were rows and rolls of old-fashioned candy amongst various antiques in various rooms. We quickly learned there was a café on the premises, that served breakfast and lunch, as well as a very cool speakeasy downstairs where the vibe and atmosphere were perfect! The two owners couldn’t do enough to make sure your needs were taken care of, and they were always around the premises to make sure all was working at top speed. Our themed room had all the comforts of home, with their very special attention to details. We stayed in their “heirloom” room, but heard that the railroad, lake and Adirondack rooms were impeccably decorated as well. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this gem of a spot in Old Forge. As far as location, they have the trail rails, literally right across the street, and Moose River in their backyard. There was plenty of wildlife out and about, and it was great for the bike trails that were near the premises as well. Treat yourself to a fun weekend at Eats and ‘Tiques… You will not be disappointed!
Jul 5, 2026 · Google ReviewThe people who own this place and the people that work here are absolutely amazing. The atmosphere and service felt like that of a Hallmark movie. Literally only service you see in the sweetest of movies. The food is amazing 👏🏻 Both breakfast and lunch was incredible. The owner/chef really cares about the food he puts out and it shows in his fresh meat, veggies and fresh baked cookies for my Aunt who was celebrating her birthday. This places was a wonderful find on our trip out to the Adirondacks from Michigan. I cant wait to come back. We will see you again, hopefully, very soon! The owner makes sure to take great care in people who have allergies and intolerances. This place will absolutely do everything to keep you safe while dinning. ❤️
May 25, 2026 · Google ReviewJust an amazing find. The antiques were diverse and well priced, and the cafe is inviting with original carved wood bar and accessories. SUPER friendly owners. They were working out the details on adding lodging while we were there - I wish them the best, you can tell they poured their souls into this neat place.
May 29, 2026 · Google ReviewConsistently the best gluten free breakfast sandwich in the region. I’ve eaten here several times and have brought multiple groups of guests who have all raved as well. They have GF Bread, bagels and buns available. This is the meat lovers sandwich without eggs. They accommodate my allergies very well and have an awesome outdoor seating area.
