megan orr-murphyA gem! I stayed on a Thursday night as a last minute decision and could not have been happier. I did not realize there was a restaurant and bar which was a bonus. Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. I just happened to be there on an open mic night that I did not plan on staying for, but changed my mind when I heard the talent. Melissa was so kind and made sure I was comfortable. I stayed in a king room with a Victorian theme that was plush and comfy. The historic building was very cool and well taken care of. Antique and gift store was a bonus! Thank you for a great night!

Mike PriceWent to this awesome place for lunch twice while I was on vacation in Old forge for the week called Eats n Tiques. I've been so disappointed at restaurants lately that when someone surprises me I feel like I need to leave a review. Great food. Cooked well. Fresh ingredients. Good pricing. Good service. Food reminded me more of an elevated gastropub food. It's a must visit when in ADK.

Amelia Chakalis⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Eat n Tiques exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The Adirondack-themed room was incredibly cozy, clean, and full of charm. Every detail of this place is thoughtfully done. The café was outstanding—everything is made from scratch, and every meal we had was absolutely delicious. The hidden speakeasy was such a fun and unique experience that made our stay even more memorable. We also loved browsing the Mercantile store, which is full of interesting treasures. Melissa and Charles are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a wonderful experience. Their hospitality truly sets this place apart. It’s no surprise that even the locals love spending time here! Conveniently located right next to the train station, Eat n Tiques is more than just a place to stay—it’s a destination. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back!

MARK WrightWe loved this place and will be back. Easy to find and a busy place with rooms, a café with amazingly good food, antiques (and lots of them at great prices), and a modern day speak easy with music. There is a private area for guests (microwave, pasteries, light snacks, coffee/tea). No elevator but an easy to climb staircase. Sit out on the comfortable covered porch/deck overlooking the train station. Located right next to Thendara railroad station - this place is packed with visitors when the trains arrive on the weekend. This historic location has nice rustic rooms (no TV so it's restful; free wi-fi) and great architecture, and appropriate Adirondack decor...much preferred to the modern chain hotels. The owners couldn't be more polite and outgoing to make your stay a great experience...they are great.

Ryan LaurieThis place is great! Very fun stay. Melissa and Charles are great people and treat you like family. If you like a place, an experience, a vibe, this is it. The fact that the proprietors are great folks and real people is just icing on the cake. I will be back. They also are cool about overnight stays, if you’re on a motorcycle on the ADK BDRX or just passing through give them a call. You might even run into old man Fenton if you do, tell him I said 👋.
