Kate MocklerWe did the Utica to Thendara trip for fall foliage and had a fantastic time. We rode in the parlor lounge, a very comfortable and cool 1940s car. It was extremely extremely relaxing. We had unlimited soft drinks which was nice. Our ticket came with a morning snack and evening snack. There was more to buy at a very reasonable price. The staff and volunteers are personable and work hard to make everything nice. From Thendara, you take a school bus shuttle to Old Forge and have time to walk around. I recommend this experience, but I should note that it's more calm and relaxing than stimulating or exciting.

Nicole Louise Adams-LethbridgeI would do this ride again! I went with the family and the coach carriage wasn't that full, so we got to spread out. The volunteer staff are amazing. The staff are volunteering for this, please be nice.

Kathleen GetzThe train ride itself was nice BUT the communication before was atrocious. We were asked to arrive an hour before which we did. We then waited an additional one and half hours before we finally departed. There was zero explanation given for the delay. Had we been told anything we could've rearranged our day but instead we had to cancel the plans we had for after the ride. We will never understand how anyone in the service industry would think that NOT providing updates was a good way to run a business. A platform of uninformed, disgruntled passengers is not a good look.
