What an amazing place - this location is a must if you are getting multiple families together to celebrate a milestone or just enjoy Old Forge and the Adirondacks. We had 10 families celebrate our friends 40th and everyone was comfortable with plenty of communal and personal space right on the lake. An easy walk to town and the owners are very nice and responsive. I would go back to this spot in a heartbeat!

Probably the best accommodations available in the Adirondacks. Our group of 37 was able to be together in one place, be comfortable, have amazing access to the water, enjoy swimming, boating, multiple deck spaces, grills and much more.

We absolutely love staying at The Lakes! It has become our favorite annual vacation spot in Old Forge, and we look forward to coming back every year. Growing up, Old Forge was a special place for me, so being able to share those memories and traditions with my own family has been incredibly meaningful. We've stayed in three different cottages over the years, and every single experience has been exceptional. The cottages are always spotless, comfortable, and have everything you need for a comfortable trip. The location is perfect! A quick three-minute drive into Old Forge, making it easy to enjoy all the restaurants, shops, and activities, while still feeling tucked away in a peaceful lakeside setting. It's truly the best of both worlds. Our kids absolutely love the little wading area and the kids' kayaks, which provide the perfect place to play and explore. We spent every morning fishing off the dock, and every day we were out on the lake with the paddleboards or kayaks. It made for the kind of family vacation memories that we'll cherish for years to come. The Lakes has become a place our family looks forward to year after year, and we honestly can't imagine a better place to stay in Old Forge. We already can't wait to come back next year!

My husband and I enjoyed The Lakes very much! Our cottage was clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed! We kayaked and enjoyed a fire with a water view! Wonderful to meet the owners as well and they showed us around the property and were very friendly! Lots to enjoy and we will be back!! Thanks!!

First time at the lakes but hope to come back soon. The cabins were very clean, updated, nicely furnished, decorated and had everything we needed. We stayed in the Fulton, the pond and 7th lake. They were up from the lake but nice to be close to each other. The lake front was a very short walk and had plenty of gathering areas and sunshine. I wish it would have been warmer so we could have used the kayaks and paddle boards. We could walk into town for shopping, restaurants and bars. Jon and Emanuel were great to work with and very responsive when texting or emailing.

Had a wonderful weekend in Old Forge with my family! The Lakes was such a great place to stay. The accommodations were impeccable! Clean and had everything we needed. In addition they are pet friendly so our Golden Retriever was able to join us! They even had a dog food and water bowl! The property is right in the channel and there are plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the scenery. In addition they have paddle boards and kayaks you can use during your stay for free! It was also close to the hiking trails we wanted to hit. I highly recommend The Lakes!

Fantastic property right on the channel. Beautiful small cottages with all the amenities you would need. Our family enjoyed the property, the boat rental and the owner’s hospitality. We were very happy to be able to bring our dog as well. The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and taking the canoe through the channel.

A wonderful cousins reunion where we spent summer vacations as children... the Adirondack Mountains. A perfect week hiking, swimming, boating, campfires every evening and the joy of Autumn colors. The Lakes small cabins on the channel were lovely, fully equipped (only a few hooks for closets). No view of the mountains, but close to Old Forge. A delightful stay!

We spent 2 nights in fourth lake cottage. The cottage was spotless and very well equipted for our stay. Location was perfect overlooking the water. Although it rained most of the full day that we were there we were able to keep ourselves busy as there is lots to do in the area. Defintely will come again for a longer stay so that we can take full advantage of the waterfront activities that The Lakes offers. Thank you

Went for a quick two night escape. The reviews were spot on. The owners have dedicated an incredible amount of energy and resources to make this the complete Adirondacks experience. We'll be back if its not booked solid, which it should be.
